Green Beans with Shallots and Cashews

500 g (1 bag) Europe's Best® Green and Yellow Beans, frozen
30 mL (2 tbsp) butter
2 shallots, thinly sliced
15 mL (1 tbsp) liquid honey
4 mL (3/4 tsp) grated lemon or orange zest
75 mL (1/3 cup) finely chopped cashews
1 mL (1/4 tsp) salt


  1. In a skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Cook shallots for 3 to 4 minutes, until softened and light golden. Remove from heat and stir in honey, lemon zest, cashews and salt. 
  2. Meanwhile, cook Europe’s Best Green Beans according to package directions. Drain well. Toss with shallot seasoning mixture.

Makes 4 to 6 side portions
