Jalapeno Mixed Berry Daiquiri

Ingredients

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 small jalapeño pepper, halved
1 cup (250 g) Europe’s Best® 4-Field Berry Mix
1 cup (250 mL) white grape juice
2 tbsp (30 mL) lime juice
1 cup (250 mL) ice cubes
Lime wedges

Directions

  1. In small saucepan, bring sugar, jalapeno (including seeds and ribs) and 1 cup (250 mL) water to boil over medium-high heat; cook, stirring, for 3 to 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let stand for 1 hour. Strain and refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until chilled. Discard jalapeño.
  2. In blender, combine berries, 1/4 cup (60 mL) sugar syrup, grape juice, lime juice and ice; purée until smooth. Serve in daiquiri glasses garnished with lime wedges.

Tip: Refrigerate leftover simple syrup in a sealed container for up to 1 month.
